I love the simplicity of a silhouette and the moment that in captures in a little one's childhood.  There is something about that little nose or the hint of an eyelash in these artistic profiles that make me smile. I only wish I had done these with my guys when they were little.  I shot these silhouettes of P & G at their recent family portrait session.  It's so much fun to take these old-time traditional portraits and mod them up with some fun colors and patterns.  If you love them, ask about silhouettes with your next session.

Columbus Day weekend in Connecticut. I couldn't think of anything better. Warm temps, a golden sunset and hanging with someone who has known me longer than most anyone, and with whom I have shared some of life's best moments. Like I said, I couldn't think of anything better. Insert her lovable, hugable, they-call-me-Uncle-Lora (it's a long story) family and it was a blissful Saturday night on the beach.  Go ahead and see for yourself. Take a peek.

I have shot literally thousands of images over the years and this one just stopped me dead in my tracks. When I look at it, it almost makes me want to cry in that happy, poignant sort of way. It reminds me of all things that are good in the world. New life about to emerge. Sisters. Mother daughter bonds. It's all good.

E & K are 2! It's amazing how they went from itty bitty babies to talking toddlers in the blink of an eye. Here is a special sneak peek for someone whom I know is anxiously awaiting this post. Lots more goodies to come :)
