It's true. Summer is coming and I cannot wait. Each time I scrape my windshield, shovel my driveway or salt my walkway, I think to myself - why?! There are places to live where it's always sunny and beautiful. Well, until I figure out a plan on how to live in one of those places I am just going to be content that it is spring today and summer will follow...soon!

It is every parent's hope that her children get along, now, and later in life. Well, this sister/brother pair simply blew me away. They really like each other.  Scratch that. They really love each other and it was so incredible to see them together. As the mother of two teen/tween boys, I wonder if it's just same-gender siblings that fight and bicker as if there were bonus points awarded on their Xbox for the most arguments in one day. Maybe it's just my kids. After meeting these super siblings, at least I know that there is hope.

Smile. Just seeing the word makes you do just that - smile! When my own smile started to begin to get a little crooked and I found myself being self-conscious of showing my pearly whites, I knew exactly who to call - Dr. Amy James & Associates Orthodontist.

Yes, I had rocked the braces back in 8th grade in Connecticut, but the follow up care just wasn't there back in 1980-something. Fast forward a whole bunch of years and I'm now a self-described AWB (Adult with Braces). Really? I know that for many of you, you had no clue. That's because Dr. James outfitted my mouth with a secret. Incognito. Real braces - just placed on the inside. How cool is that?! Just six months into my treatment and my smile is looking awesome and no more hiding.

...it was quiet down at Pear Tree Point. The late summer sun was shining and there was a wind hinting of autumn. It was just a quiet moment to feel the warmth on your face and a wish to some how capture it and wrap it up in a package to peek at for the darker, colder days again.
